Qualifications Needed to Get Started
Please read the following prior to applying to ensure you meet the requirements.
- Minimum of 1 year experience preferred
- Current and valid engineer, conductor or dual qualified license (Daily rate ranges from $300-$400 based on experience and job assignment)
- Must be willing to submit to a background check
- Must be willing to drive to work location (reimbursed at IRS rate of .70/Mile). In some cases airfare will be provided and reimbursement for rental vehicle.
- Per diem of $65/day and lodging provided
- You are a 1099 contractor. All tax obligations will be your responsiblity
- Most job assignments offer Railroad Retirement
- Submit Resume and picture of your FRA Cert.
